The North pole flyer

Take a day trip to the town of Burnet, just 30 minutes away from Cedar Park and board The North Pole Flyer. This 2-hour excursion on a vintage train features a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, plenty of hot cocoa and a yummy Christmas cookie. Each train car is decorated for the season and passengers can enjoy a live reading of the North Pole Flyer book read by one of Santa’s elves.

Tree lighting & santa’s workshop

Watch as Cedar Park’s 400 year-old Heritage Oak Tree is illuminated with thousands of twinkling lights in a Tree Lighting Ceremony that kicks off the holiday season on December 6. Listen to live music, go on a carriage ride, and visit Santa’s Workshop where Santa Claus himself will make an appearance. Can’t make it on December 6? Don’t worry, the tree will be lit up through the month of December.

catch a holiday show

The H-E-B Center has some great holiday performances lined up for December. First up is Country Christmas starring Lee Greenwood & The Gatlin Brothers on December 5. Then, watch a dazzling performance as Cirque Musica presents: Holiday Wishes on December 24. To round out the festivities, check out Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer the Musical on December 29. There’s plenty of holiday cheer to go around at the H-E-B Center this season.

holiday shopping

Black Friday is on November 29, which marks the start of the holiday shopping season. Cedar Park has two major shopping centers – The Parke and 1890 Ranch. Both shopping centers have big-name department stores, restaurants, salons, fitness centers and more. If you’re looking to shop for a local and unique item that you can’t find anywhere else, Cedar Park also has many boutique and specialty shops such as Ruby Keys Boutique, Beau Kisses, and Honey & Hay Home to name a few. If that isn’t enough, we’re just three miles away from Lakeline Mall.  With so many options, shopping in Cedar Park should definitely be on the itinerary.

a chocolate wonderland

With the holiday season comes holiday parties. What better way to thank the host/hostess in your life by getting them some chocolates. Cedar Park has some amazing chocolatiers that produce the most delectable confections. Get a box of chocolate from Delysia Chocolatier. Delysia Chocolatier is the first shop to sell the new and trendy ruby chocolates, which will make a sweet gift for anyone on your list. Another chocolatier to check out is Ecuadorian Chocolate Factory. If you are a fan of dark chocolate, then this is the place for you. Their dark chocolate bars are out of this world and will make the perfect stocking stuffer or midnight snack 😉
